Farmowners - The property insurance for
homeowners and tenants are coverages similar to those offered
by the homeowners and tenant homeowner
policies. Coverages for farm buildings and farm personal
property are provided on a scheduled or blanket coverage form.
Liability insurance is effected by the use of personal, farm
personal and / or comprehensive general liability coverage
forms. Endorsments are available for optional coverages.
The farm property can include additional
dwellings both on and off the premises, mobile homes and other
private structures appurtenant to dwellings, household personal
property, loss of use, scheduled farm personal property,
unscheduled farm personal property.
Mobile Agricultural Machinery and Equipment
may be scheduled or covered on a blanket basis.
Flood Insurance is offered thru the Federal
Flood Insurance Program.
Earthquake Insurance is available.
Boiler and Machinery pays for loss of damage
resulting from accidents to: Pressure and refrigeration objects,
including boilers, air conditioning and refrigerating objects;
mechanical objects; electrical objects; turbine objects. This
coverage is frequently overlooked on farm accounts.
The equine risk has requirements of the above
and in addition CC&C, off premises liability, trainers
liability and more. We will write the policy to meet the needs
of the client.
Additional coverages available are livestock
floaters, personal articles floater, accounts receivable
coverage, valuable papers coverage, transportation floater and
motor truck cargo.
The Farmers / Ranchers policy must be tailored
to meet the needs of the insured risk. Many as an example would
need Data Processing Coverage, Livestock Mortality, Hail
Insurance, Multiple Peril Crop Insurance and Poultry Insurance.
Also, for someone that farms for others,
General Liability is needed for the custom farming exposure.
Health Insurance is needed for the family farm
on an individual basis and/ or a group plan for the farm with
employees.
